Monica J. Gurgiolo
Ms. Gurgiolo is both an Attorney and a CPA. She began her career as a practicing CPA at a Schaumburg public accounting firm for 3 years, and then became a licensed attorney in 1996. She conducted her own law practice in the areas of estate/trust planning and administration, as well as some aspects of business law, for 12 years prior to joining The Law Offices of Anthony B. Ferraro in 2009.
Ms. Gurgiolo provides her clients with personalized service by communicating with and counseling them throughout the entire estate planning or administration process, understanding that each person’s situation and family is unique. She helps her clients prepare for their death by providing for their family through the use of wills, which can appoint a guardian for a minor or disabled child, and trusts, which can protect assets for minor, disabled, or even adult children or other family members. There are both tax and non-tax considerations, and Ms. Gurgiolo counsels her clients on all of them, so that they can make informed decisions that are in the best interests of themselves and their family. Ms. Gurgiolo also assists clients when they have lost a loved one, and are in need of counseling and representation in administering an estate or trust.
Ms. Gurgiolo received her Juris Doctor, with High Honors, from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1996 and her BSBA in Accountancy, with Honors, from Roosevelt University in Chicago in 1990. She is a past officer and director and has been a member of the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council for over 10 years. Ms. Gurgiolo has twice co-presented Wills, Trusts, and Taxes – What Works? for the School District 214 Continuing Education program.
